Food quality remains a HOT topic in many Aged Care operations with the ABC News reporting on Christmas Dinner served to residents at a South Australian facility. But when food does not meet expectations an increasing number of people are using their mobile (cell) phone camera to post images to social media and media outlets. No administrator needs negative media attention – the CEO of this Aged Care operation would attest to.
A better approach is to harness the culinary skills of employees to improve food quality.
The CEO of this facility was on ABC radio this morning explaining that there had been 2 x three-course Christmas lunch meals on the day, so residents were given a choice of light evening meals. He also said there were 3 x Christmas events with activities for families.
